Skin Care
This is a gentle, herbal cleanser for all skin types.
It cleans your face thoroughly and effectively! Just wash
your face, rinse and follow with toner and moisturizer.
Gentle Face Cleanser
1/4 cup liquid castile soap
1/8 cup distilled water
3-4 drops chamomile essential oil
1 teaspoon orange or lemon juice
Some earth clays do wonderful things for your skin. French Clay is my favorite. Cucumber will soothe
the redness that sometimes developes when using a pore-tightening mask.
This is great for reducing pores, and giving you beautiful, glowing skin.
Facial Mask
1/8 c French clay
1 medium cucumber, peeled and mashed
Water (enough to make a paste)
1 teaspoon sweet almond oil
Gentle toner for dry skin. Chamomile soothes while it tones, and pepermint is a mild toner. If you
have dry skin, you only want to just " clarify " the skin, careful not to over-dry. This is a very gentle toner, follow with
a moisturizer.
Gentle Chamomile toner
6 drops chamomile essential oil
6 drops peppermint essential oil
1/4 cup distilled water
1/4 cup witch hazel
Hair Care
This formula has lots of enriching oils and herbs that are soothing and conditioning. This will help
impart that silky feel back into your hair.
Damaged Hair Shampoo
1 cup "shampoo base"
1 teaspoon glycerin
1 teaspoon aloe vera
1 teaspoon jojoba oil ( or apricot kernel oil)
3 drops chamomile essential oil
3 drops lavender essential oil
1 Vitamin E capsule, 400 units or more
"shampoo base" can be:
Liquid castile soap ( a very mild, olive oil based soap)
or unscented and uncolored baby shampoo.
Herbal/Botanical Hot Oil Treatment
1/4 cup virgin olive oil
1 Vitamin E capsule, 400 units or more
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon jojoba oil
3 drops lavender essential oil
1 drop rosemary or cedarwood essential oil
This is salon-quality oil treatment. I is fabulous on very dry hair; if you have oily hair do not use.
In class you will be instructed on how to mix ingredients and how to apply it. Different recipes will
be featured on this page.
